Otoplasty is a surgery performed to reposition prominent ears to a position closer to the head.

Otoplasty can be performed on both adults and children from seven years of age, when the size of the pinna has reached adult size.

In adults, surgery is done under local anesthesia or under local anesthesia plus intravenous sedation. In children it is done under general anesthesia.
